What happens when a family member or loved-one dies?

The death has to be officially pronounced by either a doctor or a medical professional. Then you can arrange for us to take your loved one into our care by calling us directly, on +27 66 384 4033 we offer a 24 hour service. There is no need to wait for regular business.

What documents do we need to provide?

To enable us to register the death and complete the required documents we will need the deceased id, and a copy of the id of the informant. If there are documents from the emergency attending services, we would also need these. Should other documents be required, we will advise you what is needed.

Who normally makes the funeral arrangements?

In most cases it is the next of kin, however any of the immediate family can do this, it’s very important to remember that anyone signing these official documents agrees that they take responsibility for all arrangements and costs once signed.

What type of funeral can we choose for our loved-one?

There are many types of services and funerals that we can arrange, burial, cremation, eco funerals just to mention a few, please feel free to discuss your options with us.

What kind of coffins or caskets are there?

We offer a wide range of coffins and caskets, ranging from solid wood to eco friendly funeral coffins. Our experienced staff will be able to advise you accordingly to your requirements and budget.

If I choose either a burial or cremation, is viewing permitted of the deceased?

Yes in all cases you will be able to view, many families bring clothes for the deceased to be dressed in and other items they wish to place alongside them in the coffin.

If I choose cremation, can there still be a funeral?

Yes we have many families that choose a funeral service before a private cremation takes place.

Do we need to embalm?

Generally speaking this is a personal preference and is not required or even necessary in most cases. However there are certain requirements, such as if your loved one is being repatriated either by air or land including cross border embalming is required by law. Embalming may be waved on religious grounds or for Muslim or Jewish faiths.

Can you assist with policy claims?

As part of our service we do offer the ability for us to assist or even make the claim for you.

How do I make payment and how soon do I need to pay?

We accept all types of payments, eft, credit and debit cards as well as cash payment. Full payment for the funeral or cremation must be paid 48 hours beforehand.

How much does a funeral or cremation cost?

This very much depends on your budget and requirements, our fully trained staff will advise and guide you through this process.

What other services do you provide?

We offer a wide range of services, bespoke funerals, burial and cremation, repatriation by land and air. Assistance with the completion of claims and relevant forms and general advice on social media platforms and how to manage those for the deceased. If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know.

Can you arrange catering for after the funeral or service?

Yes we can certainly, we have a wide choice of catering options available.

What facilities do you have?

We have a private chapel for services that can sit 40-50 people comfortably, as well as standing space. In addition we have a large comfortable reception area to host the reception following the service that has taken place in our facility or elsewhere. We also have easy access for disabled persons and ample washroom facilities. There is ample car parking at the front of our facility.
